Directory of Experts (DoE) (August 2021) - created to host a diverse listing of individual experts across multiple areas of expertise from various countries. Users are able to filter and search across several fields provided for each expert. DoE accessible here and a case study video available here.
CPAG Data Cloud - Recognising the lack of data storage and back up facilities throughout the region, CPAG launched a cloud-based infrastructure to allow organisations to be able to store and/or back up their data in a highly secure, yet easy to use environment. The CPAG Data Cloud for each organisation is completely managed by the organisation and allows for the easy sharing of data within and outside of organisations based on permissions set.
“Linking data to better decisions”
CPAG provided data to support various projects and country initiatives such as the Sargassum adaptation (SargAdapt) project (UWI-CERMES), the development of Grenada - Management and the provision of MPA data to Montserrat to aid in the legislating of a marine spatial plan for its coastal waters.
CPAG continued to work closely with the UN Environment Programme – World Conservation Monitoring Centre (UNEP-WCMC) to update country data in the World Database on Protected Areas (WDPA) for Antigua and Barbuda, Haiti, Jamaica
Capacity Enhancement
Regional - CPAG collaborated with the UN Environment - Caribbean Environment Programme (UNEP-CEP) to develop guidelines on how to conduct PAME assessments. Guideline accessible here. Antigua and Barbuda - Technical support provided to the National Parks Authority in the development and update of the management plan for the Nelson’s Dockyard National Park.
